For Dough
60 gr margarine, melted
60 gr butter, melted
2 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Green Life Mahaleb
260 gr flour
For filling
4 dried figs
1 teaspoon Green Life Anise
1 dessert spoon butter
¼ tea glass water
2 tablespoon almond, chopped
For the filling cut the figs in small cubes. Ground the anise in a pestle. Place the fig, anise, water and butter in a pot and stir while cooking a few minutes until it is a paste consistency. Remove from the stove and add the almonds.
After mixing all the ingredients you have prepared for the dough put it on the counter and knead. Continue to knead until it is the consistency of your earlobe. Divide your dough into 12 pieces and make round balls. Open the balls with the palms of your hands and thin out then place in your product mold with the edges hanging over. Press the dough down gently into the mold do it will take on the shape. Fill the dough with the fig filling you have prepared and cover the hanging dough over the filling and stick the edges together. Spread wax paper over your baking pan, then tap the handle of your product mold to make the contents fall onto the baking pan. Cook at 180⁰C until the tops are browned for about 30 minutes. Serve after cooling.
